About the artist

Vasilisa Romanenko is an illustrator, designer and artist based in New England. She enjoys painting with digital and traditional media, incorporating botanical elements, intricate patterns and wildlife into her works. Vasilisa imagines her paintings as windows into a magical world, much like the ones she loved to get lost in while reading fairy tales as a child. Vasilisa is most often found at her desk painting, with a cup of tea and her dog Basil by her side.
