Description

In Prehistories, send your best hunters to hunt game, then have your Shaman paint your exploits on the cave walls. Being fast will allow you to pick your prey first, but being strong will earn you the finest species. Will you risk injuries that could weaken your entire clan? The first to translate the wishes of the Ancients into painting will be declared the winner!

Who goes hunting paints his place!

Place the Animal tiles on the main board then choose objectives for the game. Each player takes the 12 cards of the clan of his choice then places his cave and the corresponding totem tokens in front of him. Each player draws the top 3 cards from their pile, this is their starting hand. To collect the Animal tiles, you will have to reach the minimum score indicated in front of each Animal tile. Players simultaneously choose from the cards in their hand which hunters they wish to send. The player with the lowest total goes first because his hunters are the fastest. The hunter with the larger total will be able to hunt more or larger animals, but being the slowest it is not certain that there will still be something left in the valley as well. When hunting, you can choose between hunting without injury or with injury. If the total of the Hunter cards reaches the number indicated by the green arrow, the hunt is successful without injury, you recover the Animal tile and you draw two cards from your clan to replenish your hand. If the total of a player's Hunter cards only reaches the - lower - number indicated by the orange arrow, the hunt is successful but the player is injured. He recovers the Animal tile but comes back weakened from the hunt. He then only collects a single card to replenish his hand. Two or more wounds and he does not recover any cards for the next turn. When you return from each hunt, the Shaman will paint your exploits by placing the Animal tile (s) collected in your cave. Paint as best you can, to meet the requirements set at the start of the game by the Spirits of the Ancients. It will therefore be necessary to anticipate the necessary hunts for these. When you complete one (or more) objectives, place the indicated number of Totem tokens on the corresponding Objective card. The first player to place their 8 Totem tokens wins the game!
