The Florida turtle is omnivorous and its diet is very varied. It feeds on fish, amphibians, tadpoles, and various aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates: insects, earthworms, crayfish, snails, plants, fruits, seeds...

Its trade is now banned in Europe because it is an invasive species that threatens ecosystems.
