The MagicobusTM from the Harry Potter series is here to save wizards, witches and Muggles alike. This do-it-yourself wooden model bus is an exciting addition to Ugears' Harry Potter collection, and a clever piece of engineering. To create this triple-decker bus, with its unique wizarding features, our Ugears designers and engineers set themselves an ambitious goal: to create a bus that can contract and expand, and change speed at the same time, just like in the film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

The speedy MagicobusTM can hurtle through the streets of Muggle London (or your living room) thanks to its powerful spring-loaded engine, which can be wound up using a secret key stored on the roof of the bus. Lift the button on the magic manipulator, also located on the roof of the bus, to lock the gears and prevent the bus from running away before all the witches and wizards have boarded. Once the bus has stopped, you can now remove the secret winding key, insert it into the ratchet mechanism on the side of the bus and give it a few turns. To set the bus in motion, press the button on the magic manipulator while holding the bus, then release it! The MagicobusTM starts off with a bang thanks to a gear system that transfers energy from the spring to the wheels, including a "flip" gear that allows the bus to continue freewheeling.

The most striking feature of the MagicobusTM wooden model is its ability to transform itself by shrinking or expanding with a simple turn of the magic handle. Turn the knob on the top of the bus anticlockwise and the bus shrinks, squeezing between the cars. Turn the knob clockwise to enlarge the bus (and its passengers) to their full size. But here's the most amazing thing: the speed of the bus changes as its width changes! In its normal (uncompressed) state, the bus moves surprisingly fast. Compress the bus and an internal mechanism makes it move in slow motion.

You can leave the MagicobusTM in its beautiful natural wooden state, paint it purple (as seen in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), or give it the colour of your choice with your own paints or wood stains. The do-it-yourself model bus inspired by the magical world created by J.K. Rowling is of "Medium" difficulty, has 268 parts and takes an estimated 6 hours to assemble. To assemble, all you have to do is detach the pieces from the laser-cut boards and fit them together. There's no need for glue or special tools. Don't forget to sand and wax the moving parts to keep your MagicobusTM running smoothly (sandpaper and wax included in the kit). Detailed illustrated instructions are available in 11 languages.
