Punto - Card game

On his turn, the player must place one of his cards adjacent to a card already on the table, or cover one of lower value. The first player to align 4 cards wins the round.

Preparing the game:

2 players: each player receives all the cards of 2 colours. 3 players: each player receives all the cards of one colour and 6 cards of the fourth colour, the neutral colour. The neutral colour does not count towards victory. 4 players: each player receives all the cards of one colour.

Sequence of events:

Each player shuffles his cards and places them face down in a pile in front of him. The first player turns over his first card and places it in the middle of the table. The next player turns over his first card. From now on, each card turned over must be juxtaposed or superimposed. Juxtaposed: juxtapose a side or a corner with a card(s) already laid down. Superimpose: the number of points on the superimposed card must be greater than that on the card already placed (the colour does not matter). Note: the cards must fit into a square of no more than 6 x 6 cards. As soon as a player has managed to align 4 cards (5 cards for 2 players) of the same colour, he wins the round. This player then takes the card with the most points in his series and places it face up in front of him. This card cannot be used again in subsequent rounds. All the other cards are dealt back to the players to start a new round.

The player who wins two rounds is the winner of the game.
