BRIO was founded in 1884 in Osby, a small town in southern Sweden. Today, the small family business has become the global company BRIO AB, with subsidiaries in Germany, France and Japan, as well as distributors worldwide. BRIO's product portfolio currently includes many toys, but also games for the whole family.
With their simple and uncluttered design, their products invite users into an entertaining world where imagination is the only limit. This philosophy of the game, to which they are faithful since the birth of the company, is at the base of all their products.
All their wooden toys are made of beech. Beech is an extremely dense and durable wood, with a resistant but soft surface, perfectly adapted to the love of children, expressed sometimes brutally. They are since the 1940s supplier of the Royal Swedish Court.
