One warm summer evening two reckless teenagers climbed over a high fence into the zoo – unexpectedly finding themselves in an enclosure of African animals. The lions were already circling when Hip Poppo, generally not really a fan of teenagers, stood himself firmly in their way. The frightened boys managed to get away by the skin on their teeth. Since then Hip Poppo has been hailed as a hero. But really he'd prefer to be left alone! Stroke his soft back and he'll be yours forever.
