Parks Extension Nightfall - Strategy Game

Nightfall is the first expansion for Parks. There you will find new park cards containing new actions, Year cards with more missions to accomplish and original ways to explore the course thanks to the campsites. You will surely meet other Wild Animals, which is why we have included new tokens. Finally, the new park cards will allow you to discover National Parks that were not present in the base game.

Gameplay

The players take on the role of two Randonneurs who survey different hiking trails throughout the Seasons. Each season, have your hikers advance along the course to acquire resources, Wild Animal bonus tokens or to take photos. At the end of the course and the season, you can reserve a park to go there later, buy equipment or visit a park by paying for the necessary resources. When season four ends, you score points for parks visited, photos taken, and your personal goals represented by the Year card. The Nightfall expansion adds new parks to visit, granting access to new immediate actions, new year cards, and incorporates the new Camping board and tiles. Certain places of seasonal routes thus give access to a campsite and its specific actions, but it will be necessary to plan its trips strategically to benefit from it.
