Description

As new members of the Royal Monstrological Society, players embark on an expedition in search of legendary monsters, spotted in the clouds, on the high seas, or in the haunted forest. By optimizing their dice combinations, players can upgrade their camps, catch new monsters, and use the abilities of monsters already captured. But be careful not to go too far, at the risk of losing everything! It's all a matter of strategy.
Principle of the game

A game of Monster Expedition is played over several rounds. In each round, players take their turns one at a time. At the start of your turn, you must choose in which region you are going to hunt monsters. The level of equipment in your camp determines the number of dice you can use. Stock up dice one at a time to get enough firepower to capture monsters and cages. At the end of your turn, use dice to upgrade your camps. You play clockwise from the first player. On your turn, solve the following four phases in order:

    Phase 1: Choose a camp
    Phase 2: Hunt the monsters
    Phase 3: Improve the camps
    Phase 4: Complete the Wilderness

The monsters you capture allow you to score Victory Points (VP) but they also have very useful abilities. These abilities can be permanent and exercise until the end of the game, or they can be used once.

When the draw pile is used up, end the current round so that each player has played the same number of turns. Then the game ends. Add up all of your monsters and cages. The player who has scored the most points wins.
